A few words about….

ECCO Recycling

The school’s program for recycling used printer cartridges

What it is: For those of you new to this program, ECCO is a company that

pays the school money for recycling used inkjet and laser printer cartridges.

They are also now accepting used cell phones (please see website).

What you do:

1) Simply place the cartridges back in their original packaging,

2) drop it in the box located next to the office in the school hallway.

What you get: ECCO pays the school for the cartridges, which can be as much as $12 per cartridge depending on the brand and type of cartridge.

Important note: Several people have donated items that can not be redeemed through ECCO Recycling. ECCO only gives cash back for certain brands and models, and usually gives less money, or none at all, for "remanufactured" models. Always try to place the cartridges back in their original packaging. DO NOT place them in bubble wrap or ziploc bags as it damages the cartridges.

For a complete list of the cartridges accepted by ECCO visit their website at www.eccorecycles.com

Here is a short list of the brands that they typically accept:

Brother, Canon, Compaq, Dell, HP, Lexmark, Panasonic,

Samsung, Sharp and Xerox

– Note: they do accept cartridges if they are "compatible" with the models listed –

***Because we get an overwhelming number of cartridges submitted that can*** not be redeemed, any unacceptable cartridges will be disposed of according to the manufacturer’s instructions. We are also looking into a local company and may start redeeming cartridges with them.
