Linda Reddy – After five and a half years at Assumption School Mrs. Reddy will be leaving us on Friday.  She will be flying to Texas to be with her family and await the precious gift of a baby .  We are all excited for her, yet sad to see her leave.  We look forward to seeing her and her newborn in the Fall.  Although Mrs. Reddy loves Assumption School , she will be putting her career on a back burner in order to be a mother and experience all the wonders of raising a child. If anyone would like to send anything to her, please send it to Assumption School and we will forward it to her.  “It’s a boy, It’s a girl”!  Our best wishes and love to Mrs. Reddy.

                                                        SUMMER TIPS

Avoid Mosquitoes and West Nile Virus

To keep mosquitoes out of your yard:

·         Stock your pond with goldfish that feed on mosquito larvae.

·         Use yellow bug lights outside to discourage insects from swarming.

·         Mow tall grass and weeds where bugs like to hide.

·         Change water in bird baths twice a week.

·         Crush marigold leaves and petals between your fingers and rub the oil on your skin for a mild repellent.

·         Empty collected rainwater from plastic tarps on firewood and equipment.

·         Toss rosemary and sage onto your grill to act as a repellent.

·         Keep trees and shrubs well pruned to bring sun and wind into the yard. Bugs like shade and dislike wind.

·         Water grass and gardens early in the morning so water doesn’t pool.

second graders to get them prepared for our Assumption
