I am delighted to be teaching third
grade at Assumption School. I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology
with a concentration in child development from College of the Holy Cross. Upon
graduation I joined the Jesuit Volunteer Corps and was sent to teach third
grade at Our Lady of Guadalupe School in San Antonio, Texas. After three
wonderful years in San Antonio, my husband John and I moved back to Connecticut
and I took a position as a Head Teacher/Assistant Director at a preschool in
West Hartford. After the birth of my son I became a stay-at-home mom for many
years, home schooling both of my children for the last fifteen years. In the
last five years I have worked at East Catholic High School and at Crystal Lake
School in Ellington. I am also pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Elementary
Education at Saint Joseph College. I have just sent my youngest child off to
college and I am very excited about returning to classroom teaching. I am very
impressed with the Assumption students and their families and have enjoyed a
warm welcome from the faculty and staff.
I live in Tolland with my husband
John and I enjoy reading, cooking, running and traveling with my family.
