Mrs. Mary Mitchell

My name is Mary Mitchell.  I have been a Kindergarten teacher at Assumption School since 1991.  I went to Assumption School when it was a junior high school.  I graduated in 1983.  I went on to East Catholic and then Saint Joseph College in West Hartford.  I received my bachelor’s degree in Child Study and a minor in counseling.  I am currently attending Eastern CT State University to obtain my masters Degree in Reading and Language Arts plus consultant certification.  I am state certified to teach Pre-K to 6^th grade.

It has been really nice to see the growth and changes in Assumption School. I have been able to see first hand the development from a junior high school to a school with grades Pre-K to 8^th.  We have wonderful teachers and a terrific curriculum for our students to learn from.  I am happy and proud to be a Catholic school teacher, especially one at Assumption School!
